• Don’t try to beat the other player let them try to beat you.
• Keep notes on certain players.
• After the flop, analyze your hand well and have it set in your head what your going for.
• After you’ve been at the table for while you’ll know who the strong players are, stay away from going head to head with these people.
• Don’t play like your trying to get the highest hand, you want to have your opponents fear you.
• Don’t stay in on a hand with a small pot when another player raises the bet a lot unless you know you have the winning hand.
• Only play in games that you can afford, if you can’t afford to loose the money then you won’t be playing at your best.
• Play when your in a good mood, negative emotions could cause you to make bad choices.
• Know all the rules of Poker before playing.
• When you have a great hand make the other players pay to see it.
• Be prepared to fold with a good hand when you are obviously beat.
• The more players at the table, the less valuable average hands become. So a pair at a 5 player table is worth much more then at a 10 player table.
• If your getting beat bad then go to another table, you just need to find a table with players that are worse then yourself.
• Online Casino poker players tend to be worse players then land based casinos.
• When your on a losing streak just take a break, it might help you get refocused.
• New players should play at the low stakes tables for a while, make sure you have your game down before trying the higher stakes tables.
• Don’t get pushed around or intimidated.
• If an ace card gets drawn on the flop it would be a good time to bluff. Most players will think you have an ace in the hole.
• If another player with few chips on the table starts to raise your bets, be sure about his hand. Players often bluff when their chip stack gets low in order to make some back in a last ditch effprt.
• Keep a poker odds sheet with you, knowing the odds will give you a slight advantage.
• Watch every players movements, if you get good at this it will give you a huge advantage.
• If you get dealt an outstanding deal off the flop you can wait till the last round to bet if other players are betting during the deal.
• Don’t bluff too much.
